Static & Patrol Security Guarding

The Sector Security Static & Patrol Security Guarding course is specifically designed for security staff employed in industrial or commercial premises. It gives the individual the basic job training, skills and knowledge to successfully fill the role of security officer within the private sector and fully meets the SIA requirements for licensing. Part two of the course covers Communication and Conflict Management which can be completed as a separate course but is intrinsically linked to part one and is a key requirement of a Security Officer’s job role.

The syllabus of Sector Security’s Static & Patrol Security Guarding also complies with the recommended training syllabus in the British Standards for BS7499- Static Site Guarding and Mobile Patrol Services.

The course consists of twenty two and a half guided learning hours delivered in eight modules which include:

  • Identify possible offenders
  • Retails Security Officer and the Law

 

The Sector Security Static & Patrol Security Guarding course, Part One, has a four day classroom based syllabus (with no contact) and offers a thorough introduction to private sector security work whether as a new entrant to the industry or transferring from other functions. Attendees gain a real insight into the security industry and also gain specific knowledge pertinent to the retail security sector.

On successful completion of the course and examination candidates will have achieved training qualification that allows them to apply for an SIA Security Guard licence.
